How much time has passed since the last time you cut your hair? Certainly not as much as for this man, who has not cut his hair for 50 years!

No one has ever contacted him to certify the authenticity of his record for having the longest hair in the world. This is why Tran Van Hay decided to resolve this issue once and for all by removing his turban and showing his Guinness record long hair to the world. 

Without anticipating anything, we only tell you that his wife's help was needed to carry his hair across the room ...

Tran Van Hay is 73 years old and for 50 of those years, he has not had a haircut. He made this curious decision following a serious illness that struck him at age 25, just after going to the barber!

For good luck, he decided that he would never cut his hair, so that he would not run into some other unfortunate incident . . .

Now 50 years later his hair has turned into a dense tangle that he keeps gathered under a large turban.

The length of his hair from scalp to hair strand end measures 7 meters (23 ft) and weighs a total of 10 kg (22 lbs).

Such a weight on his head has prevented him from carrying out daily activities and has caused quite a bit of nuisance ... but never enough to convince him to cut his hair again!
