These little ants can move mountains!

Take an ant by itself --- it has no weapons with which to protect itself from most predators and little chance of survival. Now put a lot of them together --- what they can do collectively is unbelievable!

In this video, we are shown how a group of ants can carry an object that a single individual ant would not be able to move even a little.

Ants are also able to change and diversity their roles, in fact, you can easily distinguish the carriers from those that are instead, redirecting the others towards the ant nest.
