Do you adore DIY projects and want to create something for your bathroom that is simple but also has lots of style? Well, here is a brilliant idea that is just what you are looking for!

Among the things you need for this small project are old newspapers or magazines that you have read and re-read and now you are ready to throw them in the trash. 

By following these few simple steps you will be able to create a practical and convenient basket where you can put toilet paper and other bathroom utensils. But let's see how it is done ...

You will need:

  • a stick
  • old newspapers and magazines
  • a brush and glue
  • clothespins for hanging clothes
  • two pieces of cardboard
  • acrylic colors

Roll up each page of the newspaper around the stick and at the end of fix the sheet with glue.

Let the glue adhere well to the paper by using the clothespins and after it dries remove the stick.

Take one piece of cardboard and draw a grid as shown in the image, arrange the rolls of newspaper (rods) in a symmetrical manner with respect to the parallel sides, then glue on the other piece of cardboard and allow everything to dry.

Put a cardboard box inside the "shell" which will be created by pulling up the newspaper rods.

Now is the time to weave the other rods horizontally between the vertical rods and glue the ends together at the corners.
