The high salinity of the Dead Sea lake is due to the fact that this large salt water lake was created by evaporation in one of the deepest depressions on earth and the fact that it does not receive large amounts of fresh water from rivers as compensation.

This makes it particularly easy to float in the Dead Sea and a man wanted to play around a little with this famous characteristic.
