Are people who have Alzheimer's aware of this fact?

This woman's father has Alzheimer's and for 16 months she has been taking care of him 24/7. She has joined an online support group and it was a member of this group who asked her to check to see if her father was aware that he had Alzheimer's disease. 

The woman then, turns on her smartphone camera and "interviews" her father, who with a weak voice answers the questions: "Do you know you have Alzheimer's?", the daughter asks her father. "Yes, I know," admits the elderly man. Moreover, he demonstrates that he also knows what it means to have Alzheimer's means when asked what it is, he promptly responds: "Memory loss", says the elderly man. 

A very unique and touching dialogue, but it also reveals the brutality of a disease such as Alzheimer's.
