Aloe vera is used as a food, cosmetic, and for dermatological purposes ... Few plants are more versatile (and useful!) than aloe vera.

This succulent plant that likes warm climates but if protected from frost can also be grown in temperate ones, is a remedy to a multitude of problems with an efficacy that has been known since the time of the flourishing Mesopotamian civilization .

Probably, those of you are reading this article have your own uses for aloe vera, but among the ones that we are suggesting, there will surely be some that you do not know!

Thanks to a mix of minerals, amino acids, enzymes, vitamins, complex carbohydrates and other substances of which it composed, aloe vera has been attributed numerous properties including: the well-known regeneration and healing of the epithelium (have you ever used aloe gel on a burn?), purification of toxins, protective barrier against fungi, viruses and bacteria, as a natural analgesic, anti-inflammatory and immune stimulant.

Caution, however, when taken orally is recommended to resort to prepared juices from which aloin, a highly laxative component for the human being, has been removed. Consumption is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

You can use this plant as a gel or juice for all of the following purposes:
1 .To improve digestion, protect the intestines and lower the level of glucose in the blood.
2. For massaging body parts, aching temples or in case of headaches.
3 .To prepare hair wraps and counteract the appearance of dandruff.
4. Remove makeup and eliminate bags under your eyes.
5. Ease the stinging from sunburn and help the skin to heal more quickly.
6. To relieve the itching caused by insect bites.
7. Can be used to fight the signs of acne scars, the sun, and time. 
8. Helps in the case of canker sores or reddened gums (aloe gel can be used to make a natural toothpaste).
