After centuries of domestication, we are accustomed to thinking of horses as barnyard animals ready to help us in our activities or to give us moments of leisure.
We should not forget that in them still lies the wild spirit that helped them to survive the harsh challenges of climate and predators.
This fact can be seen and proved by observing the herds of wild horses living in Florida that are more or less tame and accustomed to human presence.
However, if and when, as in this case, they perceive a threat they do not hesitate to display their wild nature.
