This man is called Thomas Cain and at the age of thirteen, he had already lost both of his parents.

Being born in 1931, he did not have any photographs of his parents and having lost them as a young boy, he could not remember them very well.

On his eighty-third birthday, however, his grand-daughter gave him a very special present. Secretly, she had done some research and had been able to find a photograph of his mother (the girl's great-grandmother).
