One meeting --- and two lives are saved!

Life is capable of playing some unpleasant tricks, while at other times it gives unexpected gifts.

Such is the case of Ember, a mother cat who lost all of her kittens due to a serious illness. 

Her owners saw Ember turn slowly into a gloomy and depressed cat, always sad and lonely.

They were very much aware of the reason for her depression, but things were about to change soon ...

At the Atlanta Humane Society animal shelter, there was a newborn kitten, that needed a mother cat willing to adopt it.

The newborn kitten would not have likely survived if the workers at the shelter had not remembered Ember.

She was sad because she had lost all her own kittens, and now there was a kitten desperately looking for a mother --- perhaps the meeting would save two lives.

Indeed, that was exactly what happened! Ember adopted the little red kitten, treating him as if he were her very own kitten.

Seeing them together is a wonderful sight to see!
