Strawberries are among the most popular fruits of the summer season and, like other red fruits, they represent an excellent source of potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, and calcium.

As you know, however, strawberries tend to spoil easily and that is why we just buy a small amount rather than stock up on them.
However, the trick to keeping them fresh and firm for a long time exists and it is simpler than you might think!
Usually, the people who avoid eating strawberries are the ones who, unfortunately, have some form of intolerance. But we who love them and can enjoy their sweetness want to know everything about how to make them last longer!
All you need is white vinegar!
In a bowl, add one part of white vinegar to five parts of water (adjust the size of the container to the number of strawberries).
Leave the strawberries to soak for a few minutes to allow the vinegar to eliminate mold spores and bacteria. When you transfer the strawberries to another container, you will be able to see in the water a quantity of residue that you have never noticed before!
Before putting the strawberries in the fridge you have to dry them properly and completely.
You can leave them in a colander until they are completely dry, or spin them in a salad centrifuge and then gently dab them with some paper towels. In any case, remember that it is important not to remove the stalk if you want to make them last longer!
