Perhaps you know that experts recommend drinking two glasses of water in the morning, immediately after waking up, as a means of reactivating the body after hours of sleep and putting it in the best condition before facing a new day.

To this advice, we want to add that to maximize the beneficial effects of drinking a glass of water on an empty stomach, it would be more appropriate if it were warm water.

According to many doctors, in fact, resorting to this "trick" triggers a series of beneficial chain effects that people cannot fail to notice in a short time after they adopt this habit.

Many of you will be horrified at the idea, but in reality, the reasons for switching to drinking warm water are numerous and valid. Here are some of them:

  • Our metabolism is activated more quickly and with greater vitality. When we drink lukewarm water, in fact, the body does not have to spend time, and above all energy, to regulate its temperature since it will already be closer to the one that characterizes the internal environment of our organism.
  • Digestion is facilitated: Drinking warm or lukewarm water promotes the work of digestive enzymes which, for example, help to dissolve fat more easily. As we can imagine, a well-functioning digestive system cannot but bring further benefits, such as ...
  • Eliminating constipation problems and promoting weight loss: Associated with regular physical activity, the habit of drinking warm water promotes a general improvement of intestinal functions and therefore our regularity. What can this mean except that it is very likely that we begin to get rid of some extra pounds, too! To this, we add that hot water has the power to make us feel less thirsty and, above all, satiated and therefore helps us to not eat too many snacks that show up as extra weight on the scale.
  • It helps us to expel toxins from the body: A more efficient metabolism and regular bowel movements are two elements that allow the body to more easily eliminate all that weighs it down and slows down its processes! For example, drinking warm water aids the various bodily systems that take care of expelling waste and toxic substances (exocrine glands, skin, lymphatic system, kidneys, etc.).
  • Relieves menstrual cramps: Naturally, warm water can also be consumed in the form of a herbal tea especially created for this time of the month, but even simple hot water can be useful for women struggling with this annoying problem.

So ... Now, don't you think that there are some more than valid reasons to try introducing this habit into your daily life?
