Take 3-4 apples of the Gala variety, cut into slices of the same thickness and remove the cores with a small stencil.
Lay the apple rings on a plate lined with a paper towel and cover them with another paper towel to absorb any excess moisture.

In a bowl, add about 1 cup of flour (120 gr), 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
In another bowl, add 1 egg and 1 cup of milk (250 ml) or, if available, use 3/4 of a cup of buttermilk.
Add the two mixtures and whisk until a lump-free batter is obtained. Heat the frying oil and when it is hot, dip the apple rings into the batter.
