Reasons to love coffee we, have to no end, not only in the form of an invigorating beverage but also because of its very useful and effective cosmetic applications.

In fact, this ingredient has the ability to stimulate the circulation, tone, and elasticity of the skin and it even helps to eliminate excess fluids.

Furthermore, the creation of coffee masks and packs is rather simple and this makes it an ingredient widely used for all kinds of DIY recipes aimed at counteracting the most common imperfections without spending an astronomical amount of money. 

In fact, here are some beauty recipes that use recycled coffee grounds for exfoliating and coffee powder for stimulating circulation.

1. Cellulite

  • Mix coffee powder and salt in equal amounts, then add a few drops of olive oil.
  • Apply this paste on the skin while gently making circular massage movements. 
  • Repeat 1-2 times a week.

  • Mix one tablespoon of coffee powder, a tablespoon of coconut oil, a pinch of black pepper and a few drops of water. 
  • Apply the mask to the affected area, taking care to avoid any contact with the inside of the eye. 
  • Once dried, rinse well.

  • Mix two tablespoons of coffee powder with 3 oz (100 ml) of slightly warmed olive oil. 
  • Apply the mask on your hair massaging the scalp, spread it over the entire length and then leave it on for 30 minutes by wrapping the head with plastic wrap. 
  • Wash and rinse using a mild shampoo. 

The application should be repeated several times. When used on light-colored hair it may lead to darkening the hair color.

  • Add a teaspoon of coffee grounds to a teaspoon of honey. 
  • Gently rub your lips for 30 seconds, then use a cotton pad to remove most of it.
  • If you can, let the honey continues to act for a few minutes without rinsing it away entirely.

  • Combine one tablespoon of ground coffee and two tablespoons of yogurt. 
  • Apply the mask to your face and massage for two minutes. 
  • Rinse using cold water.

  • Use steam on your face to open the pores of the skin. 
  • Mix two teaspoons of dry coffee grounds, a teaspoon of turmeric, and two teaspoons of yogurt. 
  • Apply on the affected area, massage for two minutes and then let the mask act for another ten minutes. Rinse with warm water and remove blackheads by applying gentle pressure on the skin.

  • For this mask, you will need one tablespoon of coffee powder, a tablespoon of sour cream (or yogurt), a teaspoon of honey, and one egg white. 
  • Mix ingredients well and apply the mask to your face, leaving it to act for at least 15 minutes. 
  • To be repeated once a week.
