Walking frequently during the day is not only a natural remedy for tiredness, bad moods, and an excellent balm for our mind, it also has beneficial effects on the health of our entire body.

Prevents cardiovascular diseases. Walking 30 minutes a day is effective in preventing heart and stroke-related diseases, reduces hypertension and helps improve blood circulation.

Helps the regular function of the pancreas. Walking frequently also helps improve glucose tolerance by six times for those who choose to run; a recent study has confirmed.

Helps strengthen joints and legs. Needless to say that walking 30 minutes a day helps reduce joint pain, stiffness, and inflammation; physical activity also prevents bone loss and reduces the risk of fractures.

Helps improve eyesight. Although it seems impossible, frequent physical activity, understood as a walk of at least 30 minutes, can help fight glaucoma and relieve elevated eye pressure.

Increases lung capacity. As we start to breathe better and more deeply, the levels of oxygen through our blood increase and this allows the lungs to be trained in the most correct and functional way for our physical health.

Reduces the risk of Alzheimer's. A recent study not only confirmed that walking frequently prevents early dementia and Alzheimer's disease, but that the risk of stroke is reduced by 43% if you walk at least three hours a week; the Spanish research experiment involved about 30,000 people.

Reduces fats and increases muscle building. Did you know that with a medium intensity walk you can burn up to 300 calories per hour? This walking exercise corresponds to approximately 10,000 steps a day and is equivalent to a real workout session at the gym!

Reduces back pain. Walking helps to improve and maintain the correct posture of the spine and physical activity promotes blood circulation. Walking also strengthens the spinal column which favors mobility, and a favorable positioning of our body.

Improves digestion. Walking for at least 30 minutes a day not only helps digestion but also assists in maintaining the correct functionality of the intestinal flora.

It is good for mental health. In conclusion, walking is good for our mind especially if we are in a moment of our life in which we suffer from a negative mood; the positive energy and often the presence of friends and loved ones during a walk multiply the sense of emotional fulfillment!

And now get out of your house, wear a tracksuit, and start taking healthy walks!
