There could be a connection between talkativeness and longevity.

This was discovered by a scientific study carried out by researchers from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the University of Yeshiva.

The thesis focused specifically on female subjects, who are more predisposed to dialogue due to the high presence of FOXP2, also called the "language protein".

The predisposition to talk more not only extends life but also helps make individuals more peaceful and happy.

The survey was carried out on a sample of 250 people, in which they detected strong social behaviors aimed at interacting with other people.

But how can being a very talkative person extend life? The key to everything would be essentially related to our psychophysical equilibrium, which is favored by freely and openly expressing one's mood and emotions.

To talk a lot means to be sociable, optimistic, and to have a good relationship not only with others but also with oneself. The study even quantified the ideal number of words per day that could help to contribute towards a person's physical well-being.

In practice, each individual should speak more than 15,000 words daily, a bit like counting a certain number of steps every day to keep the cardiovascular system active.

Chatting is a cure-all that we can do with people, animals, things, or even ourselves. The important thing is to do it aloud. Talking allows you to vent what is inside you, alleviating anxiety, and promoting the maintenance of good cognitive activity.

As previously mentioned, women already have in their DNA the predisposition and the ability to chat much more than men, which may also explain why they live longer on average.

Regardless of the idea that the secret for a long life could really be the spoken word, what matters is that it undoubtedly helps to live one's life better and feel more present and active.

Humans are social beings by nature, so much so that in situations of isolation, it is not uncommon for people to even have conversations with imaginary companions.

Although this may seem to be a symptom of madness, it is, on the contrary, a way to preserve sanity.

Therefore, in light of all the facts, go ahead and talk to your heart's content!
