"Hug your kids. Don’t work too late." is the message of a father after the loss of his young son
It does not matter that you have an important job, a nice car, and lots of money - what matters most in the world are your loved ones, the people you truly love and who have always been close to you in life.
So forget the material things and think more about your husband, or your wife, your children, your relatives, and your family in general. Because you never know when it will be the last time you see them. Do not miss the important moments, because you will never get them back.
This father, J.R. Storment lost his son suddenly and after thinking about his sorrow and regret for not having spent more time with his son due to his work, he decided to share his story so that others will not make his same mistake.

J.R. Storment admits that he worked too much. In fact, when he learned of the sudden death of his 8-year-old son, he was in a meeting with 12 other people.
Just that morning, he had told his colleagues that since his twins had been born, he had never taken a real vacation. And that was eight years ago!
We can only imagine the excruciating pain that this father must have felt that morning when his wife called to tell him the sad news. She explained that his son Wiley had suffocated in his sleep due to a rare complication caused by his mild infantile epilepsy. A real tragedy.
After this terrible misfortune, J.R. Storment wrote down his story and decided to post it on his LinkedIn page. In his story, he narrates what has happened to him and how he now questions his life choices.
He clearly makes references to the wasted time, the time that he as a parent chose not to spend with his family, and especially with his children. The time that he will never have again with his son Wiley.
His advice is very simple: "Many have asked what they can do to help. Hug your kids. Don’t work too late. A lot of the things you are likely spending your time on you’ll regret once you no longer have the time."
The lesson to be learned is that life is short and we should not waste it by working all the time. You never know if you will wake up tomorrow or not, or how much time you have left.
The only certainty you have is your children, and they are the most important thing in the world and will always be your top priority. Therefore, create beautiful memories with them; wonderful memories that they also will never forget.
And remember never to go to sleep without telling them how much you love them.
