She decides to donate a kidney to her ex-husband so her daughters won't lose their dad
A divorce between one's parents is among one of the most traumatic events that can happen in the life of a child.
Very often a divorce is the result of irreconcilable differences and misunderstandings within the couple, and the separations are hostile events, in which it is increasingly difficult to find any trace of affection or even kindness.
But not all divorces follow such a predetermined and destructive path. In fact, the story of Dan and Kelly has indeed moved Britain first, and then the rest of the world after going viral and crossing national borders.

Dan and Kelly had known each other since the age of 11 and they had become great friends over the years. And when they were 18 years old they started a romantic relationship and got married 13 years later.
From their love, two daughters were born, currently 11 and 16 years old. However, in the last few years Dan, before his divorce, had not been feeling well at all and he always felt tired and had constant flu symptoms.
A visit to a London hospital had led to a serious diagnosis. In fact, Dan was suffering from kidney nephropathy in both kidneys, an accumulation of proteins in the blood causing high blood pressure that damages tissues in the kidneys.
After ten years of drug treatment, Dan absolutely needed a new kidney!
However, at that point in time, their marriage was already over. Nevertheless, Kelly knew what she had to do to preserve the good friendship that she had with her now ex-husband. So, she decided to donate one of her kidneys to save the life of the father of her two daughters.
Although the compatibility with Dan's kidneys was not perfect, it was decided, in any case, to take the risk. Consequently, both Kelly and Dan agreed to the delicate surgical operation which was an act of courage necessary to save their family.
Fortunately, the operation was successful, and Dan was released after five days from a hospital in London!
Now, Dan and Kelly have remained once again the greatest of friends, and the love and affection in the family have not only remained unchanged but both the parents and their daughters are more close-knit than ever.
Dan and Kelly may not be married anymore, but they are still an inspirational family!
