A truck driver cries tears of joy when he finds his lost cat that had always accompanied him on his trips
Who said that cats are pets that can only be kept in the house?
You can still be a cat fan and cat lover even if you have a job or profession that forces you to always travel from one state to another with the necessity to cover long distances.
Case in point is Matthew, a truck driver from Georgia, who has always carried his splendid 3-year-old tomcat called Ashes with him in his truck cabin for years.
He and his four-legged feline friend are truly inseparable and true-blue traveling companions.
For Matthew, having his cat by his side is always a pleasure, and it is easy to understand what he felt when Ashes suddenly disappeared from the truck.
In fact, while traveling in Springfield, Ohio, the cat accidentally got out of the huge vehicle driven by his human friend.
Obviously, frightened after finding himself in an environment completely unknown to him, the cat ran away and evidently took refuge among some bushes.
Desperate, Matthew decided to put all his efforts into trying to find Ashes again. After returning several times to the same spot where he had lost the cat and having searched for a long time without results, he, unfortunately, had to start to realize that he would never see Ashes again.
In the following days, Matthew found a way to organize his truck delivery trips so that he could pass near Springfield, so as to get any news about someone finding Ashes.
However, more time has passed and there was still no trace of his cat. Until the moment a woman named Kimberly noticed a frightened cat that was shivering in the cold by the side of the road!
After taking Ashes with her, Kimberly took the cat to an animal refuge center called Lollypop Farm, an organization that is dedicated to rescuing stray or abandoned animals.
From there, the administrators at the animal center immediately proceeded to scan and read the cat's microchip, discovering to their great amazement that the cat's home was more than 1240 miles away (2000 km). This was a cat that traveled a heck of a lot!
Contacted by Lollypop Farm, Matthew could not have been more pleased with the news that his cat Ashes had been found!
He immediately rushed there and, when he saw his beloved Ashes healthy, safe, and ready to go home with him, he could not hold back his tears of joy and relief, as he continued to hug and caress his cat that he thought he would never find.
Yes, that's right! The feelings that human beings have for their four-legged friends, often have no limits, and this beautiful story with its happy ending is yet another example that proves it.
All that remains is to wish Matthew and Ashes many more miles of traveling happily together!
