The bride decides to do a "bridal reveal" photoshoot of her wedding dress with her brother and not her husband
Marriage is the day that celebrates a lifetime commitment between two people who love each other, but nevertheless, it is also a day that celebrates the family.
It is for this reason that when Ashley Sedar was organizing her wedding with Brian, her husband-to-be, she also wanted to focus on family members who are near and dear to her.
She especially liked the idea of doing a photoshoot that captured the moment when the wedding dress is revealed for the first time but was not convinced that it was a good idea to do it with Brian.
After thinking about who could be the protagonist of this photoshoot, she chose her brother Nick who has Down syndrome because she wanted their sincere love and affection for each other to be captured in the photos.

As mentioned, Ashley loved the idea of immortalizing the moment when her bridal dress would be revealed for the first time, but she also knew that due to tradition, the groom usually does not see the bride in her wedding dress before the wedding.
So, naturally, she wanted to maintain the surprise and allow her husband-to-be to see her in her wedding dress only during her walk toward him and the altar!
Therefore, after talking about it with a friend, she had the idea to do the photoshoot together with her brother Nick.
This was a wonderful idea, also because Ashley and Nick are two siblings that are very close. And although Nick had never expressed it openly, it was clear that he felt some sadness in regards to his sister's wedding because he thought that Brian would take his sister away from him.
Consequently, Ashley thought that by making Nick part of such an important moment, this would surely smooth things out and eliminate any resentment Nick might feel regarding her wedding.
Moreover, Nick also experiences every emotion to the nth degree. So when he was the first to see his sister in her beautiful wedding dress, the emotion was simply too much and he was speechless with wonder!
"His eyes were shiny and he couldn't help blinking. You could have said he was experiencing a whirlwind of emotions," Ashley said in an interview.
The moment was filled with sentiment, and even the photographer Kelsey Watroba who captured the moment admits that she was also thrilled: "For me as a wedding photographer, it was one of the most special moments that I have ever photographed," she said.
At the end, when Nick was able to speak again he simply said, "You are the most indescribable person in the world." And we know how much love is contained in this sentence!
