You won't believe the story we're about to tell you, but it absolutely true.

When Crystal Fisher, informed her boss named Dawn, that she would not be able to report to work because her son was hospitalized and on life support, Dawn decided to fire her.

Her boss, Dawn who is also a woman, told Crystal, in a series of cruel messages, that her son was in good hands and "there was no reason she couldn't work".

She then accused Crystal of adding "too much drama" to the situation regarding her son, however, fortuitously, later upper management intervened and resolved the situation.

So my son is on life support and I tell my boss 48 hours before I am to work again that I will not be able to work until my son is off life support and this is what she tells me!

In between time, since Dawn had no empathy for Crystal's clearly worrying situation regarding her hospitalized son, she continued to criticize Crystal and accuse her of using her son's medical condition to avoid coming to work.

Therefore, even though Crystal's 18-year-old son Jason was hospitalized and had been clinging to life for weeks via a breathing tube, she refused to listen to Crystal's explanations.

Consequently, Dawn insisted that Crystal should come to work and do her job. But Crystal's son, Jason had also developed a form of sepsis that had progressed to a life-threatening condition.

In the end, the conclusion of the private messages exchanged between the woman and her hard-hearted boss was basically: "If you are not able to come to work, that means that you're quitting your job."

Crystal replied that she did not want to quit her job but only needed some time off to be with her son. Then, Dawn, her boss wrote: "And you can't work cuz? Your son is in good hands, stop being so dramatic."

It was then that Crystal gave her an exemplary reply: "Would you be able to go to work if your child was attached to life support? I don't know if he will survive and you expect me to work?"

Her boss, Dawn replied: "Yes, I would. I still would have bills to pay. We don't just come and go as we want here at Folk Oil. I have you covered tomorrow and Monday. Your son is in the best place where he can be now. I have a store to manage."

The PS Food Mart and Folk Oil Company were informed about the incident and after an investigation Crystal's boss, Dawn was fired. Fortunately, in the following months, Jason slowly and progressively recovered.
