"Contagious rat": vandals sprayed a doctor's car with a message filled with hate
Spain is one of the countries of the European Union that has been most affected by the terrible consequences of the Coronavirus infection; the number of positives cases and deaths has been very high for the Iberian nation, and this is leading to a gradual collapse of the country's health systems, already previously put at risk by prior government cuts to the health budget. All the more reason the efforts of doctors, nurses and operators in the sector should be applauded, but there are those who think otherwise.

This regrettable act happened in Spain when a doctor from Barcelona who, when she was about to go to work taking all the necessary precautions, found her car vandalised with an outrageous message. On the surface of her car some anonymous criminals had in fact used black spray to write "contagious rat" and had punctured the car tires. The doctor, a Barcelona gynecologist, was shocked and went up to her apartment to report the situation to her husband, who in the meantime was in isolation at home with their two children, aged 8 and 10.
The doctor, an emergency gynecologist in the Catelonian city, revealed in an interview that she was unable to hide the message from her children, given that she had returned to the house astonished and terrified. In the end, to go to work, the doctor had to borrow her parents' car. Unfortunately the anonymous vandals have not been identified by the local police.
A shameful gesture towards a health care worker who, despite not being in close contact with Covid-19 patients, is also fighting in the front line against this invisible monster, even if it does not seem obvious. May these hate crimes never happen again!
