How to make an ant repellent using ingredients you find around the house
With warm days ahead, fresh air and sunshine won't be the only things entering your house. Nothing's worse than finding a bunch of ants in your home, especially in your kitchen. If you have an ant problem, you know that keeping food out on the counters will only make it worse. What if, however, just removing food from the counters and keeping the kitchen clean are not enough? That's why we've decided to provide you with this easy to make and all-natural ant repellent made with ingredients you can find in your own home.
Here's what you'll need to make the repellent:
- a spray bottle
- 30 drops of peppermint essential oil
- 10 drops of carnation essential oil
- 15 drops of orange essential oil
- 120 ml of white wine vinegar
- 120 ml of water
The steps to make the repellent are very simple: pour all of the ingredients into the spray bottle and shake to mix them well. Locate the place where the ants appear to be entering your house and spray that area heavily. You can also spray the mixture directly on the ants whenever you see them. The smell alone should convince them to get as far away from the house as they can. A part from it being completely natural and free of harsh chemicals, it also leaves the house smelling nice and fresh.
