This mom lost 120 pounds: all she did was change her diet and started exercising
One of the most important lessons in life is learning to accept and love ourselves for who we are, no matter what others might think about our character, our personality, or our body size. Even though this is all true doesn't mean some of our physical and personality traits can't, at times, get out of hand. Obesity, for example, is a health condition that people shouldn't just "accept". It not only creates all sorts of health issues but also is damaging to our overall happiness and mental health. Chelsea Dixon knows all too well the toll obesity can take on your mental health. Now that she's beaten her battle with obesity, she's helping others do the same.

Chelsea is a mother of 4 children and has struggled with obesity for a big part of her adult life. Last February, she decided to get on the scales just to see how badly she had lost control of her eating habits. She weighed almost 290 pounds, just 10 pounds shy of 300. Clearly, she had spent too much time taking care of her husband and children that she forgot to take care the the most important person in her life: herself!
Instead of making excuses, Chelsea decided that she needed to make some changes in her life, and immediately. First, she swapped her old diet out for a healthy and balanced one. The next step: she enrolled herself in a health and fitness program called Healthy Mummy.
Thanks to Healthy Mummy and a new healthy diet, Chelsea was able to lose 120 pounds in the span of just a few months! Now, when she talks about her health and happiness, she states that both are at an all-time high. Even her family has noticed a difference in her moods and now they're starting to ask her to cook healthier meals for them as well.
When Chelsea thinks about how far she's come, she can't help but chuckle about how her goal was to just lose 5 pounds. Clearly, she's exceeded those goals tremendously and is even ready to run her first marathon! When other people ask her for advice on how to lose weight, her suggestions remain the same: adopt a healthy diet and find a supportive group of people who care about your health and weightloss journey. For Chelsea, those two things make all the difference.
