When Christmas approaches, it is always a great time of joy for all children. Our little ones can't wait to write a letter to Santa Claus and eagerly await the night of December 24 for the man with the white beard and the red suit to come down the chimney to fulfill their dreams. For this reason, many parents want their children to enjoy, at least once in their life, a unique experience: sitting on Santa's lap and asking him face to face for the toy they have longed for most.

However, Santa Claus is not always ready to grant children's wishes; a strange event happened with little Michael, a 4-year-old boy who met Santa Claus in the Harlem Irving Plaza shopping center in Illinois to ask him if he could bring him a plastic toy gun he had long wanted for Christmas. But the mall Santa Claus refused, leaving little Michael in tears.

The mother Sabella then retold the incident in a Facebook post, with the following words:

"My poor baby. This was the first year Michael was excited to go see Santa. It was supposed to be a magical experience, but instead I had to watch my sweet little boy hold back tears because Santa told him no because of his personal beliefs. I had to think fast and explain to him that this Santa was just a helper and not the real one. I just wanted to comfort my baby and get him out of there, arguing with Santa would only make things worse. I'm sure that the real Santa will bring him the plastic gun he wants, straight from the North Pole.

The HIP and our third-party Santa company are distraught and deeply apologetic about the unfortunate incident which occurred at Santa set on December 6, as both parties strive for families and their children to have a happy holiday experience. Santa is heartbroken and crushed that he has made this child so sad and upset, and turned in his resignation. The Santa company will continue to remind all Santa’s how important it is to not impose personal opinions during visits with the children. HIP immediately contacted the family and worked with our Santa company in hopes of rectifying the situation. We are happy to report that the “real” Santa visited the boy at his home today to bring him a nerf gun! We hope we restored Christmas magic to this boy and his family with Santa’s special visit. The HIP is thankful for our valued customers. We invite you to please watch and share this new video in hopes of restoring Holiday magic to everyone! Happy Holidays, Harlem Irving Plaza

But the words of the Santa Claus from the mall had a harsh effect on Michael: "No. If your father wants to buy it for you, that's fine, but I can't bring you a gun. What else would you like? There are many other toys; there's Lego, bicycles, there are cars and trucks. What do you think? "

The result of the post was that the department store had to fire the guy behind the Santa Claus beard and made up for it by bringing Michael the toy gun he had always wanted as an apology. Could the real Santa Claus have had a hand in it?
