At almost 14 years old (four years before this video) Kayla Montgomery was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, but thanks to the intervention of her coach, Patrick Cromwell, the girl decides to fight and continue her sporting career as long as possible. One consequence of the disease, however, is not having the coordination to slow down once she reaches the maximum speed. Therefore, when crossing the line, Kayla is forced to literally fall into the arms of her coach that awaits at the end of the race. It is thanks to this teamwork that she's become one of the fastest long distance runners in the USA.
