One company gives all theiremployees $10,000 and two first-class airline tickets to any destination
In the world of work, being a good boss is not always easy, as you are constantly trying to balance between wanting to make more and more profits and granting rewards to your employees. A good boss, however, knows how to go about climbing the highest peaks, achieving the desired success and, at the same time, also be appreciated by their employees. Sara Blakey, for example, will be remembered with great joy by all her staff at SPANX, the figure shaping underwear company founded by the entrepreneur many years ago. In fact, Sara decided that the time to cash in had come: she had decided to sell the company, valued at more than a billion dollars. To celebrate this milestone, the woman gave two first-class airline tickets to any destination in the world and $10,000 to each of her employees.
What can we say, this is an amazing bonus!
It's not unusual in some companies that employees are given an extra bonus from time to time, with some cash to add to their paychecks at the end of the month or another perk, and Sara Bakley, a successful entrepreneur, knows this all too well. When everyone asked her when she would sell her company, SPANX, she always replied: "When the time comes, I'll know." That moment has finally arrived and Sara was able to close a deal worth 1.2 billion dollars, which is the amount her company was valued at.
Sara's achievement is absolutely amazing when we consider that the woman founded Spanx in 2000 by investing her savings of just $5,000. Today the company is worth much more and this is thanks to its foresight of it's founder and the hard work of its employees over all these years. Not surprisingly, Sara announced the sale of the company during a company party and surprised everyone with the news of a very important bonus for each of her workers.
Sara's announcement was accompanied by shouts of joy, toasts and even tears of emotion: the entrepreneur, to reward her employees, offered them two plane tickets each, in first class, to any destination in the world and 10,000 dollars each, to cover travel expenses or anything else they wanted to spend the money on.
A widely appreciated gift and you can easily understand this from the video that Sara herself posted on her Instagram account, in which the various employees tell the cameras the destination where they will finally be able to go for a trip: one will be honeymooning in Bora Bora , another will leave for Sweden and yet another for South Africa. So many people happy to have taken part in a project that finally rewarded them as they deserved!
