Embarrassed aunt apologies when her nephew makes himself comfortable in a stranger's arms
Children often seem to instinctively recognize good people and the photo that Star Balloon-Bradley has released online seems to prove this. The photographer is the aunt of Isaiah, who is the subject of this photo. Isaiah is shown sitting on the lap of a blonde woman in the stands at a stadium. The story behind this photo is truly unique and demonstrates how the world needs big-hearted people like Isaiah and this unknown woman. The child's aunt said that a couple of weeks before this photo was taken, Isaiah had spotted and looked at the woman for only a few minutes but, in that short time, Isaiah felt he was emotionally linked to her in some way - so much so that Isaiah approached her, sat on her lap and started talking with her. And the next time he saw her, he again went over to her, hugged her and fell asleep cradled in her arms. It was at this second encounter between the two that the now famous photo was taken by Isaiah's aunt.
"I don't know who this lady is," Isaiah's aunt said in her post, "but if you happen to find her, please tell her she's great. Isaiah approached this lady when we went to our last home game two weeks ago. He sat on her lap and started talking to her as if she were an old friend of his. The whole interaction lasted no more than 20 minutes as the woman had to leave immediately after intermission to pick up her little girl." A couple of weeks later, Star and her grandson Isaiah sat down again in the stands to watch another game. And it is on this occasion that Isaiah again spotted the woman who had been so friendly with him previously. "She waved to him and he went over to her" said the aunt, "I thought they would interact like they did last time, but I was wrong".
Smiling, Isaiah walked over to the woman, put himself in her arms, rested his head on her shoulder and closed his eyes. Obviously, the woman was not obliged to hold a child who was not hers in her arms. But even though the aunt was visibly embarrassed by the whole situation, the woman continued to hold Isaiah in her arms. "This unknown lady rocked Isaiah to sleep as if he were her own son. It was such a sweet thing! We asked her if she wanted us to take him from her, but she kept telling us that she (and he) were fine!"
The aunt continued: “Isaiah and this lady have NEVER met before except for those 20 minutes at a game 2 weeks ago. I told her tonight that I am so sorry for the inconvenience and I don't know why he keeps bothering her. She replied that he didn't bother her at all and that I should not say such a thing. She said for her, this was now a new friend. She then went on to say that she has a 15 year old son and moments like this are precious for her!"
