"Stop having children": mother of 4 responds to a flood of criticism about her large family
Not all couples, when they get married, decide to start a family by giving birth to children one after another; there are those who absolutely do not want children by choice or those who choose to have only one or two. And then there are those who love large families and therefore give birth to three, four, five children, and even more, if they want. Of course, to create such a large family, sometimes you need to have the economic resources and the time to raise and educate the little ones, but it is not up to us to judge the choices of these couples. But there are those on social media who do nothing but lash out at men or women who have consciously chosen to have multiple children in numbers which are well above today's average family size...
Anna Strode, a 33-year-old mother, found herself in a horrible situation after she decided to tell of her family adventures on social media and unexpectedly received a flood of criticism from many users. The Australian woman recently posted on her Instagram channel that she was expecting her fourth child. Anna had always wanted to have a family of four children, and her husband was in agreement with this desire.
Unfortunately, however, at the time of the announcement of Anna's fourth pregnancy on social networks, many users, especially women, criticized Anna's maternal choice harshly, stating that she did nothing but get pregnant and that she should be ashamed of herself: "Stop having children, it is shameful! ", many have written to her...
Anna was shocked by the reaction of her followers on the social networks - she could never have imagined all the hatred and resentment she received: "They wrote to me in the most disparaging way. They asked me aggressively why we had decided to have a fourth child. What do they think of me? They accused me of being a person who does not believe in contraception and that, over time, I will not be happy raising four children under the same roof. I just wanted to share my happiness and it created all this unexpected, unwelcome critisism. "
From that moment on, Anna decided to drastically reduce her posts to be published on social networks, disappointed by the behavior of some of the users. She had done nothing but share on the web her genuine happiness to be expecting a fourth child - just as she had always dreamed of.
What do you think? Do you think that this woman was wise to share her maternal happiness over social media networks? Or do you think that the users who have railed against her choice are right, in this case?
