The two met on the job, as Brooks was Bridget's employer for five years before they got together on a permanent basis. Both worked in the hospitality field at a hotel; Bridget started out as a receptionist, also working at night, until she was promoted to reception manager and Brooks was similarly promoted to the position of deputy general manager.
As for who made the first move, Bridget replied: "I was told that one of our colleagues wanted to set up Brooks with a friend of hers, so I decided to act quickly and take the situation in hand." After writing him a message explaining the situation, Brooks replied that he would rather go out with her than with the friend of the other colleague - and so their love story began.
The girl's friends and family have always supported the relationship, but Brooks's mother has never accepted Bridget being around. The girl herself gave herself an explanation: "I think she really loved Brooks' ex-girlfriend, the mother of her children, that's why she didn't give me a chance." Brooks' children, on the other hand - who are roughly the same age as Bridget - have had no problem accepting their father's new relationship. Maybe, it's because they saw their dad happy, quit smoking and got fitter and thinner, to be with a younger woman. In short, he started taking care of himself.
The two have now been together for almost 2 years and live together in Bridget's house, where Brooks helped her to move into. They say they are happy and very much in love - as the videos on TikTok testify to - and this is the important thing.
