This is the case of Kathi Jenkins, a 74-year-old woman, and Devaughn Aubrey, a 27-year-old young man: despite the fact that the two are 47 years apart in age, they say they are in love and are ready to get married. Kathi and Devaughn first "met" on a dating site. Both are Texas residents, and initially, the two were intent on just having a good time. But something prompted the two to get to know each other much better. Kathi is 74 years old and retired; she has four children, 13 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. She has had some long-term relationships in the past, but she has never been married. Devaughn, on the other hand, is only 27 years old and although he has never had children, he was married at one stage; the two, however, divorced in 2021, just before Devaughn fell in love with Kathi.

Their relationship seems to be going well - so much so that the two plan to get married. Their respective families have learned to accept their relationship, although Kathi's daughter still has problems with Devaughn related to his choice to be a vegan.

Devaughn describes Kathi as the love of his life: "She is perfect for me and has a lot of experience, she teaches me a lot of things. We never fight, we can always talk to each other without aruging and I trust her completely," said Devaughn. He also added that Kathi "always knows how to make me feel better when I'm angry."

Even though Kathi needs a zimmer frame to walk, she reminds Devaughn of his grandmother: for Devaughn, who has always been attracted to older women, Kathi is the perfect woman for him. The two have known each other for a year now, although Covid-19 and other issues have only allowed them to be together for 6 months in total. Despite everything, Devaughn and Kathi have decided to make their relationship official and plan to get married and spend the rest of their lives together. Many people have critized this relationship, believing Devaughn is a gold-digger. But Kathi is not rich and Devaughn is not with her for her money. The two are happy and simply ask to be respected.
