Infant girl wakes up her great-grandfather to cuddle him: the images have moved the web
Having children is one of the most beautiful things that can happen in a person's life. Whether they are children or grandchildren, you cannot help but love them unconditionally and be impressed when you witness their gestures of pure and spontaneous love and affection.
This happened to Joana Rita Confraria: Joana witnessed a moment of extreme sweetness between her little daughter and her great-grandfather. The images taken at the moment moved the web and the 13 million users who have viewed them so far.
In a video clip, posted to her Instagram profile, the woman showed her beautiful little girl approaching her great-grandfather and awakening him from his nap. This was not, however, a childish prank, but an instant of pure love. The little girl approaches the old man and, after having awakened him, she begins to caress his cheek. For his part, instead of being angry for being "disturbed", the old man looks at his granddaughter with eyes full of love and begins to play with her.
"These two are a blessing for each other," reads the caption to the video. It continues: "Although 97 years apart, they are united by a strong love for each other. They are my two teachers. She wakes him up from his naps and he could not be happier. I will always carry in my heart the images I have witnessed and which are a blessing, and I am sure they will do the same for you too."
With these words, mom Joana describes a moment that moved her deeply and made her understand how great the affection between two people can be, despite a huge difference in age.
