Young child sees a homeless man outside a restaurant: he asks his mother to offer him a meal
Every day, people close their eyes to the difficulties of others, often without realizing they are doing this because they are too busy with their own lives. Luckily, not everyone is like this: when little Josiah Duncan spotted a homeless man outside a restaurant, he didn't just walk past him. This child from Alabama - United States - decided to show a level of kindness that is truly admirable.

His mother, Ava Faulk, explained that little Josiah started asking questions when he saw the homeless man outside a Waffle House restaurant. He wanted to know what it meant to be homeless. Where was his family? Where did he sleep? Where did he keep his groceries?
Ava was pleasantly surprised to see her son showing this empathy, so she explained to her little boy what it means to be homeless. Then, they offered to buy the man a meal. "He came in and sat down, but no one served him. So, Josiah got up and asked him if he needed a menu, because without it, you can't place an order. Josiah took one and placed it on his table," said the young mother.
The man chose a hamburger and when it arrived, the boy asked if they could pray together. The man agreed and Josiah said a blessing, which moved the man and the whole restaurant to tears. "God, our Father, we thank you for our many blessings, Amen," prayed Josiah.
Josiah's mother said watching her son that day gave her a real sense of accomplishment as a parent. “I know I'm raising a good citizen and a kind human being. My little Josiah reminded me that when an opportunity arises to be kind, you need to take it,” Ava concluded.
