Mother reveals to her 3-year-old daughter that she was adopted because no one wanted her: "I want you mom!"
Children always know how to surprise us with their innocence and simplicity. They have no prejudices and they sense what's really important. This was demonstrated by the touching reaction of a young child after discovering that her mother had been adopted. While perhaps the concept of adoption was a little beyond the 3-year-old girl's understanding, her mother helped her get the gist of it.
Emily Fauver is a mom and influencer who decided to publish a very cute and touching video of herself and her 3-year-old daughter, Ella. The video appears to have be taken from one of the security cameras placed in the home and shows Emily and Ella while they are in the kitchen having a conversation. Emily is eating a banana and her daughter asks her "who is your mom?"; the woman replies, "Mimi", but the child wants to know more: "Why is Mimi your mother?". At this point the woman explains to her daughter that she has been adopted and yet another "why?" from her daughter ensues: "Because my real mum did not want me, so a new mum came along and took me with her".
The little girl is deeply shocked that someone "didn't want" her mom and after a little pause she says, "Aww, I want you, I'll be your mom." Emily is visibly moved by her daughter's words and almost seems to cry with emotion: "Give me a hug. That's so sweet. That's exactly why I had you," she says to her daughter.
The video garnered more than one and a half million users; Emily wrote in the caption of the video: "You have been warned ... get some tissues or a whole box of tissues. This little girl has no idea how tenderly she touched my inner child at just three years of age. God knew that my heart needed my sweet daughter." One user commented: "My heart has been pushed towards adoption and your story has motivated me further."
Another user wanted to share his personal story, which is very similar to Emily's: "I too was adopted and when my son asked me what adoption was he showed so much sympathy for me ... and he gave me all the love I always needed from my biological parents. It's a very special moment that you shared with us. "
