Bride-to-be books her honeymoon at a hotel, then discovers that her mother has booked a room right next door: "How can she do such a thing?"
Getting married is a huge event in the life of a couple: they swear eternal love to each other and walk together towards a long and peaceful future, hopefully. Among the many things to plan to make the wedding wonderful, there is also the honeymoon to think about. A honeymoon gives a couple to spend a few romantic moments together with each other, far away from the madding crowd. So, it was too bad then, when the honeymoon of the bride who is at the center of this story did not turn out the way she imagined it would be.
Contrary to how she imagined it, "shared" honeymoon days lay ahead for her. Let's find out what happened:

The subject of the story is a 26-year-old planning her big day. While all this was happening, she discovered something that literally left her speechless and made her turn to the web for advice.
"For the wedding, my father bought us a few nights in an exclusive suite in one of the best hotels in town. My parents have been separated for many years and have always spent their time fighting with each other. When my mother became aware of the hotel reservation, she thought it best to get a room at the hotel too - a room for herself, her new partner and my brother too! Not only that she knew exactly which room the two of us would be in and she asked for her room to be next door," the young woman recounted.
This was a very bizarre situation, and one which made the future bride very uncomfortable. "I don't know if I'm exaggerating or not, but the thought of spending my wedding night with my mother right next door, is not very appealing to me". And, let's face it, it wouldn't be for any sane person. So how can this complicated and uncomfortable situation be resolved?

The young woman contacted the hotel to get information about her mother's reservation, and was told that it could not be canceled: nor could the room be changed, as the client (her mother) had explicitly requested that specific room. On her part, the young woman is not willing to go to another, less-luxurious, hotel. Users who left a comment took the young woman's side and suggested that she talk to her mother directly and frankly about the situation.
But the young woman replied that her mother is stubborn and it's very difficult to change her mind: "It's not the first time she's acted like this, which is why I've drifted away from her over the years."
What would you do and/or what advice would you give to this young woman in this sticky situation?
