Dogs are considered to be man's best friend: tender, docile and faithful, they really are the best company a person could wish for. Yet there are still many prejudices about some dog breeds doing the rounds: some breeds, such as Pittbulls and Rottweilers, are considered to be too "aggressive" and unpredictable. These are prejudices that are spread by ignorance and misinformation. If a dog is well trained and is treated with love by its master, it should never turn nasty. In a video on TikTok, a young woman showed her "upset" puppy - upset because no one at the park wanted to play with him or stroke him. The reason? He's a giant Rottweiler.

"Today, we went to the park and no one wanted to stroke him. He doesn't understand why people ignore him," said his owner in a video on TikTok whilst cuddling her large puppy. Unfortunately, there is a widespread misconception that large dogs like Rottweilers are aggressive and not very friendly - but nothing could be farther from the truth. This fact is also confirmed in a video of "nala_the_needy_rott", where the woman is shown lying on the bed, consoling her sad puppy. The young woman confirms that her dog is sad because no one wanted to pet or play with him while they were out at the park.

The video has garnered nearly 8 million views and many were moved to see this sad, sweet dog. Among the comments, we read: "It's because he's so big. But he has his mom who loves him. Even my four children don't appreciate it, but I give them all the love I can", and also, "If I saw him, I would hug him tight, he's so cute", "People are afraid of them, but they are so sweet. Mine are very friendly".

What type of relationship do you have with these dog breeds? Are you scared of Rottweilers? Tell us about it in the comments!
