Granddaughter designs a sweater for a school assignment: her grandma knits it for her
Let's face it: children have wonderful imaginations and their creativity can lead to priceless things being made. Whether it's what they say, or do, or invent or draw, they frequently leave us adults speechless. This is why, when possible, parents give children small or large gifts as a reward and a sign of love.
Here is what grandmother in the United Kingdom thought of doing for her sweet, special granddaughter:
Julie Cordiner is the grandmother of a little girl who, close to Christmas, had to carry out a very particular assignment for school. One of the child's teachers asked the whole class to design a Christmas sweater. The crafts produced would then be sold at a school event to raise money for a charity. The little girl in question, like all her companions, made a drawing and amazed her grandmother with her design.
A large Christmas tree full of colored balls, lots of gifts under it, a cute Santa Claus next to it and numerous little, blue stars overlooking the scene: how could such a wonderful design not be brought to life? Perhaps this is precisely the question Julie asked herself and which led her to go one step further. The woman knitted the sweater (following her granddaughter's design "to the T") and made sure that the little girl wore it to the school event.
In two photos posted to social media, Julie shared the original drawing and her smiling, happy granddaughter in front of a Christmas tree. "My niece designed a sweater as a school assignment and I decided to make it. Her expression when she opened the present was wonderful," Julie said.
This was a very exciting moment and got a lot of praise from users. Many saw the photos and congratulated Julie and her granddaughter on their joint achievements. We all know very well how much Christmas can mean and is, perhaps, the most magical moment of the year when hearts open up and touching shows of affection are exchanged. And this is exactly what happened between Julie and her granddaughter.
