Teacher removes a student's loose baby tooth: the child's mother is furious
Children spend a lot of time in school - a place that should be as safe and secure as possible. Teachers are a bit like second parents, especially for elementary school children who have new experiences every day. Milk/baby teeth falling out, for example, are an event that many kids look forward to as they get little gifts (depending on the tradition). And teeth can fall out during school hours. A teacher helped to remove a little student's loose tooth, but the child's mother didn't like this decision at all. Let's see what happened:

A mother living in Melbourne, Australia, was furious at her daughter's teacher, who took it upon herself to remove the little girl's loose tooth without asking permission - and, above all, ignoring the child's request for her to stop. The incident started an important debate that left readers divided on the subject. The child's mother protested against the teacher's actions, saying that she had gone too far in her duties. Many readers supported the mother's reaction, stating: "It is important to allow children to be able to tell an adult to leave them alone," wrote one reader.
Many other readers, however, stated that the teacher was right to remove the child's tooth: "Some kids go to school with a tooth that is hanging by a thread. If the teacher doesn't pull it out, it could be swallowed and the kid could choke. Congratulations to this teacher for taking this action," wrote one reader; another said: "Relax, mom, it's a tooth, not open heart surgery".
Several readers also shared their own experiences in this situation and highlighted how the teacher provided a service that parents should be thankful for: "I wish one of my children's teachers had done the same for my kids loose teeth! It's hard work. Parenting really sucks sometimes. That teacher should be given a medal."
