This young woman made $80 in just one day by selling kisses
The Carnival period is a moment of joy celebrated in every corner of the world, especially in Brazil. In Brazil, it is celebrated differently in the various regions of the country, with the very famous Rio Carnival being the jewel in the crown, so to speak.
In some regions of Brazil, during Carnival, it is common practice for vendors to set up on the various parade routes: this, in fact, is the perfect time to start small businesses. Raphaela Oliveira, a 22-year-old journalism student and marketing analyst living in Contagem, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte, knows this very well. Here is her story:

The young woman said that her friends often make fun of her because she is very affectionate and outgoing, so - on the occasion of the Carnival - she decided to take advantage of her outgoing character and become a "paid kiss distributor". The result? A profit of almost $80 dollars in one day. The Carnival costume she chose consisted of a simple sign with the words "Hugs $ 0.20 and Kisses $ 1". Raphaela decided to wear this sign for Carnival, with the intention of having fun and also winning a bet she made with her friends.
Thanks to her good looks, dozens of men stopped chose to pay Raphaela for a kiss. And a long queue even formed: "It was great fun. All the men took it as a lark and were respectful. In addition to cash, I accepted cash app payments. I never imagined I'd earn this much," she said.
Raphaela recorded her antics in a video she posted to social media - and which got more than 6 million views.
Web users were divided on Raphaela's "enterprise": some supported the young woman's idea, finding it amusing. Others, however, criticized her actions, emphasizing the risk of contracting some disease.
