All of us build bonds with other people during our lives. There are some who have an excellent relationship with their parents and are able to talk to them about anything; then, there are those who establish tighter bonds with a brother or sister or a friend. And then there are those who rely on the pillars of all families: one's grandparents. Grandparents have lots of life experience and wisdom and can guide us in the right direction when we consult them.
The young subject of this story knows this fact to be true. This young man is very fond of his grandmother and has never forgotten what she did for him when he was little. And, to thank her, he did something very sweet and tender.
Chris Punsalan is a 20-year-old influencer who is known to the general public for his music videos - and also for the special relationship he shares with his grandmother. Mrs. Kapam Pangan is 96 years old and, as happens to all those who reach this venerable age, she needs to be assisted in her daily life.
However, providing this care is not easy. This is the main reason why families have to put elderly relatives into old age homes (nursing home). Chris didn't want to do this and decided to take care of his grandmother by himself.
For many years now, Chris has dedicated himself to caring for his grandmother and has filmed some of the moments they have spent together. Almost 100 years old, Mrs. Kapam needs constant care every day. In several clips, the two can be seen chatting, having lunch, and Chris carrying her to her bed like a princess.
There are many moments where we see Chris' grandmother thanking him for everything he does for her. In fact, we have to acknowledge that Chris is making a big sacrifice caring for his aged relative. In a world full of superficial people, Chris is a shining example of someone who generosity, gratitude, kindness and love.
"I would never have allowed my grandmother to be put in an old age home. She has always taken care of me and I want to reciprocate. She can't move and needs me for everything, but she always stays positive and happy and this is the most important thing," Chris stated.
