A courier has to make delivery but there is a "guard" rooster in the house: the encounter is a hoot (+VIDEO)
If you want to improve the security of your home, adopting a dog could be a beneficial choice: a guard dog can help keep out crooks and instill a sense of protection. Intruders will be intimidated by a watchful and alert dog, but this is not the only reason. Dogs harbor affection for their families and instinctively defend their territory. Therefore, they make ideal companions for those seeking greater home security. It is gratifying to know that you have a loyal four-legged friend manning your abode.
Yet this is not the choice everyone makes, and the story we are about to tell you proves it.

Ashley Taylor and her husband AJ have chosen an unusual creature as their guard animal: a rooster named Fred. The bird, however, thinks he is a dog and, as a good puppy, has a strained relationship with the neighborhood letter carriers. The Taylors adopted Fred from a friend who could no longer care for him, and the rooster immediately considered their home his home. "Fred follows us everywhere and is very attentive to what's going on outside the house, just like dogs-he probably thinks he really is," Taylor related.
Fred likes to guard his family's yard and the area above it, making sure his family, or "flock," is safe and, therefore, everyone who would pick up on the property must pass his special "security check." One day, a delivery man was caught completely unprepared when he tried to deliver a package to the Taylor home. Fred immediately began to do his own checks and make sure that the so-called "delivery man" was trustworthy and not up to something shady.
The bird began to examine the man and ran toward him to keep him under control. The delivery man realized that he could not fool with the rooster and raised his hands in surrender, trying to move slowly toward the porch. It took some negotiation and skill to get Fred to back off, allowing him to get to the front door of the house to deliver the package. However, before leaving, the young man pointed out something important to the Taylors, pointing to the family's doorbell camera.
The man turned and saw Fred approaching the porch and had no choice but to flee. The rooster looked extremely threatening, and the man could do nothing but back away as the bird continued to chase him until he cried out in fright. AJ posted the video recorded by the doorbell camera on Facebook, and it quickly went viral on social media: "Today a delivery man encountered Fred, our guard rooster. Fred is always angry and this is the first time we have caught him in action. If anyone recognizes the poor delivery boy, I ask you to extend our deepest apologies!" wrote AJ in the caption of the post.
One thing is for sure: you don't mess with Fred!
