A dog waits for a special two-legged friend -- his story is very tender and moving!

The purpose of this animal welfare campaign, which made a bit impact on public awareness thanks to this very moving video, was to let more people know about the sad and dreary world of dogs that are forced to live a precarious existence in kennels due to being abandoned by their owners.  

If we consider that only a small percentage of the families who take dogs into their house as pets, decide to adopt them from kennels, maybe out of laziness or perhaps just due to misinformation, then we realize the almost hopeless plight of these unfortunate animals, that are often in some countries even eliminated by euthanasia.
