A man sees in the distance a foal in trouble --- what he does will save its life

Walking along a country road, a man notices a horse, a mare, that is standing oddly motionless on a bridge and approaches it to better observe what was happening. Next to the motionless mare, was her foal, that had somehow gotten its thin legs stuck between the wooden slats on the bridge and could not free itself!

The man decided to help the foal, but was a bit hesitant because he feared a possible negative reaction from its mother. But to his surprise, the horse seemed to understand his positive intentions, and waits patiently for the man to free her foal and lets him carry it off the bridge to safety and back to her!
