A spirit that would not give up!

This pit bull puppy was found huddled on a sidewalk in Los Angeles at the end of a very hot summer season.

She was very thin, although close to her there was a bowl full of food that someone had brought her. She weighed only 24 lb (11 kg), due to the presence of worms in her body and her fur was covered with parasites.

The animal rescue group Ghetto Rescue Foundation, which is managed by the local police, intervened to save her although the hopes that this young puppy could live one more day were minimal ...

They renamed her Spirit With A Heart of Gold, because of a heart-shaped marking on her fur and also because of her incredible desire not to give up and to continue to live.

Despite her condition, she was a very sweet and gentle dog. In the clinic where she was taken for treatment, day after day she showed improvement, against all the expectations of the veterinarians.

In fact, Spirit is a living miracle. Now she lives in a shelter, surrounded by the love of all the people who take care of her, after being abandoned on the street.

Spirit is looking for a foster family, but with her lovely appearance and sweet character, she will certainly have no difficulty!
