How to cheaply and easily transfer movies from VHS to DVD at home!
Invented in the 1970's, VHS tapes were soon supplanted by the more comfortable and less bulky DVDs, but VHS tapes still contain and preserve many memories that are now abandoned in a corner of the basement.
You need to know that those memories will not last forever! The film on which the image and sound are recorded, in fact, deteriorates easily, and this is likely to make the content unreadable. It is convenient, therefore, to transfer movies to digital media or directly to your computer. Today, we tell you exactly how to do it.
You need to have this type of adapter -- at one end there are cables to connect to the VHS player and at the other a USB port to be connected to the computer.
You can buy it on the Internet, where you can find models with different prices, depending on their compatibility with the different operating systems.
Included also is easy to use software with which you need to provide the new file name and the resolution settings before proceeding to make the transfer to a PC.
The time required for the transfer depends on the length of the movie on the VHS tape. When the process is finished, you will have saved the entire contents on DVD!
There are other methods to convert VHS tapes to DVD, for example by purchasing a special player with both inputs, or by going to a trusted photographer! However, the method that we have presented today, is certainly the cheapest one there is!
In this video, you can watch the whole procedure.
