Saved from the slaughterhouse --- A dog begins a new life!

Pocket is one of 100 dogs rescued by the Humane Society International, an organization that works around the world to protect and safeguard animals.

As matter of fact, the dogs were all destined for the meat market in South Korea, where the practice of eating dog meat is still accepted, considered curative and especially popular in winter months as it is believed to raise body temperature after consumption and promote warmth.

Unfortunately, Pocket had been kept in a cage for his entire life, but now he enjoys his first walk on natural green grass!
