The tomatoes that we find at the large supermarket chains are sold at a price that at least their flavor should justify but instead, all our expectations are disappointed when we eat them.

If you begin to grow tomatoes on your balcony or in your garden that is the best way to bring to your table tomatoes that are genuine and incredibly rich in taste! Tomatoes are one the easiest vegetables to cultivate; because all you need to get quick results is to place the plants in a sunny location.

Do you want to learn how to make tomatoes germinate, even those bought at the grocery store, and start to grow them yourself?  Ok! Here's how!

Start by cutting a tomato into slices --- you will need the central slices which contain most of the seeds and you can discard the slices from the sides of the tomato.

Put the slices in a pot containing soil suitable for sowing seeds, and cover the slices with a layer of soil that is not too thick, so that the sprouts can easily reach the surface.

Next, moisten the soil surface with water. In the next few days make sure that the soil is always damp, and never let it completely dry out.

In ten days, the shoots will have become real seedlings that can be transplanted into the ground or into another pot, so that the plants can continue to grow without competing with each other.

To sprout tomato seeds in this way, you have to buy an organic tomato and not a hybrid tomato. Unfortunately, the seeds from hybrid tomatoes are unstable and the fruits from these plants can be unsatisfactory or completely absent.

It is actually quite easy to bring to your table genuine and healthy food . . . and at the same time, it is also very satisfying! Try to germinate your own tomatoes with this simple technique!
