Do you enjoy preparing different dishes from all over the world at home? Then you must try "churros" which is a delicious fried pastry snack served with a sprinkling of sugar, that is very common in the Iberian and Latin American culture.
In Spain, churros are easily found at roadside stands or in any grocery store. Especially delicious are those prepared on the spot to be enjoyed while still hot!
You can also prepare them at home; it is easier than it looks! Let's see how to do it . . .

You need 140g 00 flour, 250 ml of water, a tablespoon of oil and a half a tablespoon of salt.

Put the water and oil in a pot to boil. Turn off the heat as soon as it starts boiling.
Add salt to the flour, and then pour in the hot water and oil.
Mix the ingredients until you get a soft dough that has a homogeneous consistency without lumps.
Put the soft dough into a pastry gun or a pastry bag.

Fill the chosen instrument with the soft dough and use a star tip to get the characteristic form of churros.
We advise you to apply a clip on the end of the pastry bag to prevent the dough from leaking out.

On a sheet of parchment paper, create the slightly oval shape of churros --- you can cut the excess dough with scissors.
You can also create churros in other forms!

To avoid spoiling the form obtained, cut the parchment paper into squares and place it together with the churros in hot oil for frying.
It only takes a few seconds of frying and then the parchment paper can be easily removed.

Let the churros cook until golden brown on both sides.
Drain the excess oil and let them cool on a paper towel.

Sprinkle with sugar and there is nothing left to do but taste this delicious pastry snack!
